If Real Dark Matter is not dispatched quickly enough, Kirby will reenter the atmosphere and begin taking a single point of damage at regular intervals, eventually resulting in a life lost similar to the battle with Nightmare's orb form in Kirby's Adventure and its remake. To ultimately defeat Real Dark Matter, Kirby has to repeatedly slash its appendages back at him during his first attack, similar to the Dark Matter Blade battle, and then damage him directly with the Rainbow Sword during the rest of his attacks. This time he attacks in a pattern, first releasing four of his purple appendages at Kirby twice in a row, then shooting dark beams in a circular motion twice more, then launching himself forward three times, and finally shooting two Dark Lasers from his eye three times. When defeated, Dark Matter Blade transforms into Real Dark Matter, and Kirby must fight him again while slowly sinking toward Popstar. Although Kirby can deal minor damage (a fifth of a health point) to Dark Matter Blade by slicing his body with the Rainbow Sword itself, Kirby can more significantly deplete his health by deflecting the energy orbs back at him. Next, we go to the Object > Shaping > Boundary to automatically draw the outer of your image. The result is a group of objects, you can work with. I recommend using the High quality image option because it gives you more flexibility and it can remove the background, either automatically or by selecting the color to eliminate. You can find it by right clicking and selecting Quick Trace, or in the Properties Bar Bitmap > Quick Trace. In this case you are only using the vector to create your frame, so you could also use Quick Trace. There are different configurations according to the type of image, either a high-contrast image (Line Art), a logo, clipart, etc to a high-quality image. To open PowerTRACE you can right click on the image and select Outline Trace > High Quality Image, or in the Properties Bar Bitmap > Outline Trace > High Quality Image. In that case, I have a little trick: vectorize the image and then use the vector as a frame to create your PowerClip. ![]() Drawing the outline can sometimes take a lot of time and effort, especially for beginners. Now just like before you can add a new background to the image. The steps are similar to the previous example: select the image, go to the menu Object > PowerClip > Place inside frame, an arrow will appear, and you’ll click on the outline you’ve drawn. There are different pencil options (Freehand, Bézier, Pen, etc.), feel free to use the tool you’re the most comfortable with, the final result is exactly the same with each one. You can use the Pencil Tool (F5) and trace it. This flower is a great example, the simplest solution for creating the outline is to draw it. Of course, it’s not always that easy, since objects are not always so geometric. From here you can remove the ellipse outline and add another image to use as the new background. When you click it will remove everything outside of the object you created. Next, select the image, and go to the Object > PowerClip > Place inside frame, an arrow will appear and you will click on the ellipse to indicate it is a container. This is especially useful if the image that you want to remove the background from has well defined edges.Ī good example would be a photo of the Earth, which would be enough to draw an ellipse and adjust it to the shape of the planet. Here you will be placing one or more objects "inside" a vector object. This is one of the easier and most popular ways to remove the background of an image. you can now fill it in any object in CorelDRAW.Today, we are going to explore different ways to remove the background from images in CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT.

![]() Many dashcams offer audible warnings if you’re driving too close to the car in front, drifting out of your lane, or even if you’re approaching a speed camera. As well as providing evidence of where an accident happened, it also ensures police and insurance companies can gather evidence from nearby CCTV. Some dashcams have GPS, so the exact location of your incident is added to the video. It's worth noting that if you do opt for a rear camera, you'll need to spend some time running a cable between the two cameras around the interior of your vehicle. Rear cameraĪ number of dashcams come with an optional rear camera that can be secured to the rear windscreen of a vehicle to record what’s happening behind the car. However, it usually requires the dashcam to be hard-wired rather than powered by the 12v power outlet. This ensures the dashcam records footage even when the engine is off (when parked, for example), so if someone breaks into your car or crashes into it when you’re not around, there will still be footage. Powerĭashcams are powered using the 12v power outlet (also known as the cigarette lighter) in your car, but many can also be hard-wired into your car’s electrics. However, like a sat nav, it’s illegal to use the screen to adjust settings or view footage when driving, and when caught will result in a penalty. The screen is used to view a live stream from the dashcam (rather than removing the microSD card and inserting it into a PC every time) or adjust settings. Some dashcams have a display that's anywhere from two to four inches (measured diagonally). The larger the field of view number, the larger the area that’s covered by the camera, such as the front and sides of the vehicle. The field of view on a dashcam can range from anywhere between 140 degrees to 180 degrees. The better the quality of the video recording, the more likely you’ll be able to zoom into the recorded clips and pick up crucial details such as vehicle number plates and street names. It’s best to sterilize your pots before using them, using a mixture of one part bleach to 10 parts water. Use clean pots.įungal spores are tiny and can reside in even the smallest amount of soil residue left in pots. Heating up your soil in this way helps to kill any fungal foes lurking within. It will get hotter than you might think, so be aware of this when you’re handling your soil mix afterwards. Just put your soil mix in a suitable container, cover it loosely, and heat on high for eight to 10 minutes. Personally, I prefer doing it in the microwave, as heating in the oven can generate a funky smell. But in my experience, I’ve found that it’s quicker and easier either to use either your oven or your microwave. If this really isn’t possible for you, or if you plan to reuse soil mix, then you can also sterilize your soil. The fungi that cause this disease live in the soil, so preventing soil contact with your vulnerable seedlings is the first good place to start. Use a sterile potting mix, rather than soil from your garden. There are two P’s that you should keep in mind when it comes to damping off – prevention and protection. The good news is that, as damaging as it is, there are a few practical, actionable steps you can take to see off damping off before it becomes established. There is nothing we can do to cure this disease once it’s taken hold, and even if there was, the tiny seedlings die so quickly that there would be very little time to help even if you could. Once your plants catch a case of damping off, they’re done for. Roots on infected plants are either absent, stunted, or have grayish-brown sunken spots. When you pull your plants up, you can also see signs of the disease on their root systems. It is also common to see a fluffy white cobweb growth on infected plants. The seedlings, especially the cotyledons (the first leaves produced) may have a kind of gray-brown color, and young leaves will wilt and turn from green-gray to brown. The most common way damping off will present itself is when your plant stalks become water-soaked, thin and mushy, and fall over at the base and die. There is therefore a critical period of growth between planting and maturity when special care needs to be taken to protect sensitive seedlings. The good news is that, although mature plants can still be affected by these pathogens, from the moment your plants have mature leaves and a well-developed root system, they are much more resistant the fungus or mold that causes damping off. In short, this fungal infection can really decimate your seedlings, and proper care needs to be taken to prevent a tragedy from occurring. Even worse, it is usually a large section, or an entire tray of seedlings that is killed. This disease causes such major issues in the root system of the plant that seedlings infected by damping off rarely survive to produce a vigorous plant. Young leaves, roots, and stems of newly emerged seedlings are all highly susceptible to infection. Infected plants usually germinate successfully and come up fine, but start to show signs that all is not well a few days down the line. ![]() This disease affects a wide variety of vegetables and flowers. The term is quite a general one, encompassing several disease-causing culprits, the most common of which are well-known fungal foes such as Rhizoctonia spp., Fusarium spp. “Damping off” is a soil-borne fungal disease that affects seedlings, causing the rotting of stem and root tissues at and below the soil surface of the young plants. |
